Brigham Young University (BYU) is renowned for its strong athletic programs and commitment to student-athlete development. Our collaboration with BYU marks the inception of Coinlete and our pioneering work in the sports consulting industry.
OUTCOME
Through strategic collaboration and innovative NIL opportunities, Coinlete helped BYU become a leader in the NIL space. Our efforts increased student-athlete support and established a model for future NIL programs. For more insights, visit byu.edu.
Brett Horrocks, a BYU donor and Landon Ainge, a BYU alumnus, utilized their deep ties with the university. Brett's early support of the athletic program led to Surge Supplements being a primary provider for BYU in 2016 and 2017. This foundation paved the way for further collaboration.
In February 2021, BYU invited Brett to help launch their first paid NIL program. This was when Coinlete was founded and collaborated directly with BYU to roll out this program, starting with internships and executive interactions for the football team through a company, Workflow. Brett also worked with BYU on the groundbreaking Built Bar deal, which covered tuition for all walk-ons and signed every player to a NIL deal, setting a new standard in the NIL space.
Even though Coinlete doesn't directly fund BYU, Brett continues to donate and we consistently secure deals for players, providing them with financial support.
Coinlete partnered with BYU, providing comprehensive consulting services focusing on strategy and opportunity.
